Bruno Medina Carletto

Bruno was born in Bahia and now lives in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. His interest in technology and remote work began early. At the age of 16, he was already working for companies inside and outside the country as a freelance programmer. Today, he prides himself on having learned more in the practice of trial-and-error than any course could teach him.

Bruno has already accumulated ten years working in the programming area, which is his passion, and with specific interests in related areas, such as data science and webdesign. During this time, he has worked with both back-end and front-end technologies, and also has an interest in emerging technologies such as Node.JS.

Bruno is also interested in the creation and development of web applications, using languages such as PHP and SQL (and mainly using the MySQL database engine), having participated in some ambitious projects over the years that are now used by thousands of New Zealand. Bruno started doing small jobs for several remote companies and, as his knowledge grew, his talent in the area was highlighted. He participated in different projects both as a front-end and as a back-end, until he gained enough experience and knowledge to decide to focus his studies and energies on the back-end area. Since 2013, he works exclusively as a backend developer using various languages such as PHP, Python and Ruby.

Always aware of new technologies, he worked for years using frameworks such as Laravel and Zend PHP, which allowed him to facilitate and streamline his process of developing new features in web applications. Additionally, he has experience working with APIs to integrate and extract data from third-party platforms.

His experience working for small and medium-sized New Zealand companies has allowed him to acquire essential knowledge to become the perfect professional to integrate the programming team of New ZealandCasinos.

Bruno has worked alongside Michael and Kevin since the beginning of the project, responsible for the backend of the platform. The backend is the combination of technologies and code that are fundamental to every website. It can be said that the backend consists of the brain of the site: it is invisible and users do not interact with it, however, it is vital for everything else to work perfectly. The back-end consists of server, application and database and puts into operation everything that the front-end developer creates.

Bruno was therefore the person responsible for building the code of the site from scratch and keeping it fully functioning. Today, he is the only one in charge of maintaining, testing and improving all the code of the site. It is also your responsibility to work side by side with Kevin, our UX/UI designer, to better understand users ' requirements and turn them into effective technical solutions.
