EGB: eSports betting site
The tremendous growth of esports in recent years has paved the way for esports-specific betting sites to be created. This is the case of EGB, which is a site focused only on eSports betting . Since 2011 licensed by the legislation of Curaçao, the company is offering betting markets daily with the aim of increasing the diffusion of e-sports around the world, in addition to sponsoring events and teams regularly. No wonder EGB means E-Gaming Bets .
Despite the great success of esports, EGB is still one of the few betting sites focused solely on esports. In it, the bettor will find more e-sports available and a greater number of types of bets. Generally, sports betting sites can even offer esports betting, but only on the biggest events. But this is not the case with E-Gaming Bets.
In this review, you will get to know the main aspects of the site, such as its payment methods, the quality of consumer support and the types of bets offered. We have also clarified some advantages and disadvantages of betting on the site from New Zealand. Our reviews are completely unbiased and come from the player's perspective, as they are based on our own perspective as players. Enjoy!
Security
Before placing bets online, either on e-sports, or on casino games , it is important to keep in mind some fundamental security factors, such as the security of your data and the security of your deposits.
Betting Sites and online casinos must always be licensed, following international regulations that aim to support players and promote fair and safe gambling. Unlicensed Sites cannot be trusted, and so we do not recommend betting on unlicensed sites or sites with a history of fraud.
Our assessment starts with the security aspect because, in our view, this is the central issue that permeates all types of online betting. If you don't know if a website can be trusted, How can you put your time and money into it? In this sense, we first evaluate a number of factors before considering whether a website is safe or not. They are:
- The betting site must, mandatorily, hold a license to operate online betting games;
- The site should have great game providers and a good betting platform;
- The site must have security technologies to ensure the confidentiality of user information, such as an SSL security certificate;
- The site must be evaluated by third-party companies, which guarantee fair play and player protection;
- The company must present good user reviews regarding customer service and its payment policy.
Is EGB reliable?
EGB is a brand of the company Exedra N. V., and about it there is not much information online. As the site only comprises eSports betting, its size is relatively smaller than that of its competitors, which tend to also be casinos and sports betting sites, style “all-in-one”.
Given its size and its year of Creation, which is quite recent, it was not possible to find much information about the reputation of the brand or the company. What we definitely know, though, is that the company has a history of sponsoring esports events and teams and a fairly active News Channel, which can be useful for bettors to stay informed about upcoming events.
Although there is no specific page for New Zealand players, there is the option to change the language of the site to English (or 11 other languages) right at the top of the page. Licensed in Curaçao, EGB accepts New Zealand bettors , but we remind you that online betting is not at all regularized in New Zealand. To learn more, visit our guide on online gaming licenses , where we talk about the legality of betting in New Zealand.
In general, the reviews available online from bettors who have already gone through E-Gaming Bets seem to be positive. The site is still fairly unknown to New Zealanders, so there really isn't much information on bets made since New Zealand. Players only report some flaws in the user experience it offers, a detail about which we will discuss further in this review.
Is the EGB website secure?
The site has an SSL certificate, which means that users ' information is secured and protected. As for Responsible Gambling, it is possible to opt out of the site if you are experiencing compulsive gambling or signs of it.
Unfortunately, there is no additional information on player protection measures on the EGB website, which is a negative point in our assessment. As we mentioned above, the issue of security is vital when placing bets online, especially for New Zealand players, who seem especially interested in finding out if a site is safe and reliable before making their registration. So far, however, the company has made no mention of its player safety protocols, if they exist at all.
EGB bonuses and promotions
Types and amount of bets
EGB offers hundreds of eSports betting options on small, medium and large tournaments around the world. As the site is 100% focused on esports, casino games and sports betting are not available. In case you are only interested in the latter, find several sites that offer both by visiting our guides on the best online casinos and the best betting sites .
Are called e-sports multiplayer video games that are played in professional competitions. Teams of trained players compete for prizes in organized events around the world, which can earn millions of dollars at once.
There are several super popular titles these days, and I'm sure you've heard of some of them: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, StarCraft 2, League of Legends and Dota 2 are some of the best known. These games gather millions of fans among players, bettors and spectators. If you don't know them yet, you can read all about them in our main guide on e-sports .
The betting options available for esports are very similar to traditional sports options. In this way, it is possible to bet on the winning team of the match and place some live bets. That is, if your interest is esports, you will find what you were looking for on EGB. Larger Sites usually offer up to five esports to bet on, but E-Gaming Bets offers a much more complete catalog, which is no surprise.
In addition, there you can find special bets for each e-sport, which usually other sites do not provide. This is great for more experienced bettors, who already know the game thoroughly and want to profit from more accurate betting.
Bets on e-sports
In total, there are 11 esports covered by EGB esports, but the list tends to grow, since the site only started with five esports. We list below the e-sports available at the time of this review:
- Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO)
- Defense of the Ancients 2 (Dota 2)
- Hearthstone
- HeroesOfTheStorm
- League of Legends (LoL)
- Smite
- StarCraft 2
- World Of Tanks
- Overwatch
- Rocket League
- NBA2k
In each of these esports, there are different types of bets available, in accordance with the peculiarities of each game. In general, the bettor will find room to bet on different factors of each match.
Understanding the betting menu
The filters available on the site allow you to select only one game, for example, League of Legends, to see only the currently open LoL markets. This functionality can make life easier for bettors, as the layout of the site is no longer very user-friendly in terms of user experience .
By the way, as we will talk in more detail in the user experience section, still in this article, one of the main complaints of players to E-Gaming Bets is exactly the layout and design of the site, which seems a little too complicated. Really, for first-time bettors, the look of the site can be a bit intimidating and worthy only of experienced bettors. However, do not get carried away by the reviews: the site is quite easy to use.
Before placing a bet, take some time to browse over the available markets by clicking on the buttons and seeing their functionalities. Once you figure out what each button does and what each column and Tab mean, you'll already be able to place your bets without any problem.
To make your work easier, we explain below what each tab on the site represents. On the home page, you will see the open markets, which are divided into four large tabs:
- Table (Simple Bets) , where you will find all the single bets available at the moment. You can filter them by the game of your interest. If you click on the ( + ) sign, you can see the other types of bets available for the match.
- Express , where you will find a selection of bets for the next day, which can also be filtered by game, and which are usually multiple bets.
- Live , a tab for Open live betting.
- Tournaments , a specially dedicated tab for the winners of tournaments and esports events.
Markets and odds
The odds are presented in decimal numbers, which is usually the preferred way for players as it is the easiest way to understand them.
To see the available markets for each match, go to the list of bets and, in the desired match, press the plus (+) button. By clicking there, a small menu will appear on the screen, showing all possible bets for that match. The most common markets are:
- First blood
- Total kills
- First 10 kills
- First 15 kills
- First 20 kills
- Total time-relative to the duration of the match.
- Map 1-relative to who will win the first map of the match.
- Over / Under 38 minutes on Map – relative to how long you think the round will last.
Features
EGB also has some particular features for its users, which you will notice if you register and start betting on the site. They can be quite interesting and useful for some bettors, making them an advantageous plus for those who want to bet on a site focused on e-sports. We list them below:
- Chat : On the right side of the screen, always visible, you will see a chat window. It serves to talk to other bettors about the matches. As we recommend in our special guide on how to win in esports betting , getting informed and chatting with other players or bettors can be a great means of increasing your knowledge about e-sport.
- 'Fake' bets - Whoever does not want to bet money on the bets, can bet with fake money. This is a great way to learn more about betting before risking any money.
- Tournament - As we saw above, in the EGB betting menu you will find a tab titled tournaments. There, you can bet on the teams that you believe will win future tournaments. The odds are not fixed, so the payout of the right bets will reflect the odds at the time the market closes.
Live betting
Live betting is also available, separated in the tab Live . There, you can see which matches are currently taking place and the markets open for each of them, as well as view the matches that will be available for live betting in the course of the next few days.
E-Gaming Bets also offers livestreaming of the matches. To find it, go to the list of bets and in the last column you will see a “play” button next to some matches. By clicking there, you are directed to the livestream of the match in question.
Payment methods
The EGB website does not dedicate a special page to show the payment methods available on the site, which may cost them some players. Since you have to deposit to start betting, usually betting sites make their deposit and withdrawal methods clear and accessible to everyone. This was not the case with E-Gaming Bets.
To find out the methods available to New Zealand players (let it be clear that not all methods available through the sites are available to New Zealand players) we had to contact user support, which was not very efficient.
Only the US dollar (USD) can be used in transactions.

EGB promotions and bonuses
Unlike all the betting sites and casinos we have reviewed to date, EGB does not promote its bonuses and promotions nowhere on your site. That is, there is no bonus tab, listing all valid promotions, let alone banners everywhere tempting users.
On the home page, however, down there, in a text with fine print, you can find information and links about the bonuses and points program , which we will talk about just below.
EGB bonuses and promotions
Welcome bonus
Every new user is entitled to receive their welcome bonus, which doubles the amount of their Deposit up to $ 600. That is, if you deposit $ 20, you get another $ 20 in bonuses. To receive the bonus you will need to place bets and accumulate points, which are acquired for each bet made in cash.
But Everything is very confusing. The rules of the bonus are not clear anywhere. The company claims that this bonus does not limit the user in any way, and he can make withdrawals at any time. However, if your cash balance becomes less than your bonus balance, your bonus may be cancelled.
Additional bonuses can be purchased in the site store through points. Each bonus is valid for three months, and a user can only use two bonuses at a time. The rules of rollover are not clear. In case you are thinking of accepting an EGB bonus, we recommend contacting user support and asking all your questions first.
Bonus invite a friend
By inviting friends to join the site, you can receive a bonus of up to $ 50 per friend. The rules dictate that your friends must register with the link sent by you, bet on the site and reach a certain number of points for the bonus to be released, as shown below:
- Your friend reaches 100 points through betting, you get $1 bonus.
- Your friend reaches 500 points through betting, you get $4 bonus.
- Your friend reaches 5,000 points through betting, you get $45 bonus.
VIP program
There is currently no program for VIP bettors on the E-Gaming Bets website.
User experience and mobile devices
During our research for this review, and through our own experience on the site, we noticed that the factor that needs the most attention is not bonuses or user support (although these also need to be thoroughly rethought), but the user experience as a whole.
The site is quite different from other betting sites we have reviewed on New ZealandCasinos , and any more experienced bettor will be able to tell the differences. Although the betting platform itself is well organized, it favors more experienced bettors, making betting a little more difficult for newbies.
Once you understand how the platform works, what each column and each button means, you will see that it works, in fact, very well, prioritizing the organization of information. The rest of the site, however, could be better structured. Some crucial information, for example, such as payment methods, bonuses and site rules, are either not present, or are very difficult to find. This causes a rather negative user experience as it results in frustration.
As for mobile devices, the site is responsive for all devices, but there is no app to facilitate mobile betting at the moment.
Desktop / Browser
In the computer browser, the site works well and is fast from New Zealand. The layout is, as we said, maybe a bit difficult for new bettors, but more experienced bettors will have no problem with it.
Customer service
Customer service can be done through online chat in English, email, also in English, and international telephone. We tested the service via email and chat and, on both occasions, the service was cordial but not very efficient. It seemed that the attendants were not prepared to answer our questions.
Additionally, there is a Frequently Asked Questions and Answers page on the site, but it is not extensive. The support could definitely improve to suit the users. Check out our guide best e-sports sites to compare other reviews with the one you just read from EGB New Zealand.

Summary
- Positive points
- Negative points
The site is very nice and offers many betting options in so many markets that it is even difficult to choose. This is a very positive point of the EGB. Another cool thing is that they give you the opportunity to play with “own coins” that is, fake money, without having to really invest. So far I have only stayed in this mode because I am afraid to place Dollar (NZD) bets after reading some reports on the internet.
